As public companies continue to face criticism for their lack of diversity, UPS is the latest to come under fire.

The company's board of directors is all white, and critics say it's time for change.

"It is inexcusable in 2020 that a company as large and successful as UPS does not have a single person of color on its board," James P. Hoffa, Teamsters general president, said in a statement.

Hoffa called on the UPS board to "do better" and said the company should be "embarrassed" by its lack of diversity.

The Teamsters, which represents more than 200,000 UPS workers, has been calling on the company to add more diversity to its board for years.

In response to the criticism, UPS says it is "committed to diversity and inclusion."

"We value the diversity of our people, experiences and ideas," a UPS spokesperson said in a statement. "It makes us better communicators, thinkers and problem-solvers. We are proud of our long history of promoting diversity and inclusion in our workplace."
